The management and protection of personal data of the visitors or users of the services of
www.virtualmuseum.nationalopera.gr are governed by terms stated herein and are subject to the relevant provisions of Greek Law 2472/1997 on the protection of the individual with regard to personal data protection, as it has been supplemented with the decisions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority President, the Presidential Decress 207/1998 and 79/2000 and article 8 of Law 2819/2000, as well as to the European Law (directives 95/46/EC and 97/66/EC).

Greek National Opera always acts in accordance with applicable legislation and aims at the best possible implementation of fair practice with regard to the Internet, safeguards the private nature of the visitors' personal information and expressly undertakes not to forward them to any third party (natural or legal person) for any reason whatsoever, except when so requested by relevant provisions of the law and then only to the competent authorities.

Greek National Opera collects and may maintain indefinitely non-personal data (i.e. data which do not allow for the identification of the person who has submitted them) for statistical purposes, web site traffic measurements, etc.
