The GNO Intercultural Orchestra, after an extremely successful seven-year journey full of creative encounters and artistic development, completed its first cycle with a major concert at the Herodes Atticus Conservatory, in collaboration with Jordi Savall and the musical ensemble Hespèrion XXI.

In the current artistic season, it opens a new cycle and invites new members to become part of its musical pursuits. The call for auditions for musicians with diverse backgrounds and experiences will take place in November 2025, while the new artistic phase for the Orchestra begins in January 2026.

Remaining an open space for creative encounter, the Orchestra continues to serve the goals that defined it: cultivating the participation and active presence of musicians with diverse backgrounds and experiences, encouraging exchange and dialogue through music from around the world, promoting mutual understanding and intercultural coexistence, and constantly searching for new forms of artistic expression and development.

From 2018 to today, the Intercultural Orchestra has traveled a unique path, highlighting the power of music to function as a bridge that unites different cultures. Its repertoire has brought together world musical traditions with contemporary creation and improvisation, while its collaborations have paved the way for international artistic dialogue. Among its important milestones are the collaboration with Jordi Savall and the Hespèrion XXI ensemble at the Herodes Atticus Conservatory, the meeting with the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée quintet at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, as well as its appearances in venues such as the GNO Alternative Stage, the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, the Acropolis Museum and the Byzantine & Christian Museum.

Under the artistic guidance of composer and ney virtuoso Haris Lambrakis, the Orchestra continues its journey, ready to welcome new musicians and share with the audience its next phase through the sounds and musical traditions of the world.
