Stavros Niarchos Hall
The educational program invites Kindergarten classes in Attica to experience opera through exciting storytelling, live music and creative play, in an experience that awakens the imagination and cultivates a love for art. The performances will take place in two venues: ten double performances in the VIP Hall of the National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and ten more double performances in the Kindergartens.
The story comes to life in a colorful park in Paris, where a celebration and a… lost ball bring two children together: Violetta and Alfredo. Together with the… residents of the park, they dance, sing, help each other and unfold their story guided by the musical themes and arias from the homonymous opera. But what will happen when the time comes for them to separate? Will they be able to meet again?
In this interactive musical theatre performance, children travel to a charming corner of Paris, guided by an opera singer and the lively sound of an accordion. They actively participate through singing, playing and musical activities, while learning the wonderful musical themes of La Traviata, Verdi’s great opera.
A magical experience of imagination and sound, where the opera shrinks, fits in the children’s pocket and transforms into… a game!
