Greek bass, he was born in Athens. He holds a degree in business adminis- tration from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and a voice diploma from the Contemporary Conservatory, Athens, where he studied with George Zervanos. In 1991 he joined the Chorus of the Greek National Opera. He has sung Coryphaeus (Mikis Theodorakis’ Antigone), Dionysus (Mikis Theodorakis’ Kostas Karyotakis), Alcandro (Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade), Crespel (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Roucher (Andrea Chénier), High Priest of Bel (Nabucco), Cirillo (Fedora), Joe (Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny), Sciarrone (Tosca), Amantio di Nicolao (Gianni Schicchi), Man in armour (Die Zauberflöte), Antonio (Le nozze di Figaro), Barone Douphol (La traviata), Imperial commissioner (Madama Butterfly), Count Monterone (Rigoletto), Don Placido (The Cretan Girl), Pritschitsch (Die lustige Witwe), Doctor / Servant (Macbeth), etc. Moreover, he has performed Fauré’s Requiem with the Volos Symphony Orchestra.
