OSMOSIS SAXOPHONE QUARTET - Greek National Opera - The National Opera House of Greece

Alternative Stage

The Osmosis Saxophone Quartet was founded in 2022 by four saxophonists—distinguished soloists and educators—from Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of presenting to the public both the ensemble’s traditional repertoire and aspects of contemporary Greek music. The quartet has performed as soloists with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and has appeared at Thessaloniki State Conservatory, University of Cyprus Cultural Festival, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Archaeological Museum of Chania (Crete) and has toured Estonia. Recently, the quartet released its first CD, titled Point of No Return (Da Vinci Classics), featuring original music by Giorgos Koumendakis. The members of the quartet organise the annual Osmosis Summer Saxophone Academy, which takes place at the ‘Synthesis’ Art Center in Nea Moudania, Halkidiki.
