The Oros Ensemble was founded in 2020 and consists of seven musicians who bring together influences ranging from contemporary European music to the musical traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean. The ensemble has performed repeatedly at the stages of the GNO, Thessaloniki Concert Hall and Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, as well as at, among others, Pelion Festival, Kalamata Dance Festival, Belgrade Dance Festival and the Chamber Music Festival of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra. In December 2023, the ensemble released a recording of the ballet Eclipse, which was originally presented in March 2023. Between 2020 and 2023, Oros Ensemble developed a series of original residencies in Vamvakou, Laconia, with the support of the GNO and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Through dozens of concerts and artistic activities, the ensemble succeeded in creating a unique cultural hub in Greece. The ensemble has premiered dozens of new works written specifically for it, actively supporting and contributing to the development of contemporary music.
