DIMITRIS KOUTAS

Born in Athens, since 2007 he has been a programmer / lighting designer at the Greek National Opera. He has worked alongside world-renowned lighting designers such as Fabiana Pizzoli, Vinicio Cheli and Robert Wilson. He has illuminated operas directed by, among others, Nikos Petropoulos, Maria Gyparaki, but also theatre directed by Vassilis Bisbikis, Natasha Triantafylli, Konstantinos Markoulakis. He has also designed lighting for concerts by Alexandros-Drakos Ktistakis at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, musical works by K. Βhta and Nikos Patrelakis at the Alternative Stage and El Sistema Greece at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, choreographies by, among others, Silvia Macchi, Mariela Nestora, Panagiotis Kalyvitis. For the last eight years, he has been lighting up the presentations of the GNO Professional Dance School. He was a member of the Eleftheria Deko team, which designed the lighting for the Temple of Hephaestus and Filopappou Hill. He collaborates with the Teatro Grattacielo from New York.
