The newly-established Greek Percussion Group will make its debut at the GNO Alternative Stage, presenting a multifaceted programme of contemporary percussion music with works by Greek composers. Spanning from Georges Aperghis’ physical and stage work Retrouvailles to Christos Hatzis’ meditative soundscape Quantum Transitions, the programme features a sequence of shifting sound states. The concert also includes Unisono by Minas Borboudakis and NIGRÁ by Stamatis Pasopoulos (premiere), as well as a new work by Giorgos Vavoulas, commissioned by the GNO Alternative Stage, thereby confirming the vibrant dynamics of contemporary percussion output.
