Composer, pianist, and double bassist whose creative scope extends from composition and performance to improvisation. His body of work encompasses compositions for solo double bass, double bass and piano, solo piano, chamber music, and orchestral works. His artistic exploration expands into the field of improvisation, where sound is treated as a dynamic, constantly evolving medium of expression. Focusing particularly on the double bass, his compositions aim to broaden the instrument’s expressive possibilities, elevating it from a supporting role to an autonomous voice of musical discourse and contemporary sonic reflection. From 1991 to 2019, he performed with various orchestras and chamber music ensembles while maintaining an active teaching career in conservatories and schools. Since 2019, he has served as orchestra curator at the Greek National Opera, alongside his ongoing work as a composer and performer. His compositions have been performed in Greece, the United States, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and beyond, both by the composer himself and by distinguished guest artists.
