Born in Santiago de Chile. Law, piano and music theory studies at the Universidad de Chile. Conducting studies at the Bowling Green State University, USA, and at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, graduating with highest distinction in 2000. Scholarship holder by DAAD (German Service of Academic Exchange) and Dirigenten-Forum of the German Music Council, among others. Assistant conductor at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Netherlands Opera House, Amsterdam. Guest conductor of orchestras and ensembles in Germany, Chile and China, among others. Since 2002, co-founder and musical director of the Berlin opera company Novoflot, with more than 50 productions and world premieres, conducting at major European festivals and venues.
