Vamos ensemble

Vamos ensemble started its course in 2013 in Vamos, Crete, a village in the middle of the Chania-Rethymno route with a long history in culture. The ensemble’s core was a group of musicians who began experimenting with the timbres of the symphony orchestra and the combination of this sound with various musical genres. The excellent result was widely accepted by audiences. As time passed, the group grew and their performances began to escape the bounds of the island. Many renowned performers such as Ioanna Forti, Tassos Apostolou, Myrsini Margariti, Thodoris Voutsikakis, Maria Koti etc occasionally collaborated in concert. Dimitris Maramis entrusted his musical Erotokritos to be adapted into a concert form by the Vamos ensemble, so that it could be presented, in collaboration with the composer, in many places throughout Greece. The goals of the Vamos ensemble are to continue their artistic exploration, collaborate with renowned artists from the field of music and achieve the greatest possible acceptance from audiences.
