Pioneer of the art of lighting in Greece, she has designed the lighting for numerous performances receiving acclaiming reviews and awards. Her participation in the Athens 2004 Olympic Games as a lighting designer of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies has been a unique moment in her career. For the Opening Ceremony, she received the international Emmy award (“Outstanding Lighting”), becoming the first Greek with this distinction, placing her among the world’s top lighting designers. With her team they have designed several architectural lighting projects worldwide including the lighting of the Acropolis, Temple of Poseidon, InterContinental Doha (Qatar), Athens International Airport, receiving international awards as Ultimate Darc Award-2020, LIT Best Lighting-2021, LIT 2021, ΜUSE Platinum, Gold. Her teaching offer and experience counts 30 years. She began teaching stage lighting at the New York University in 1990 and taught 15 years (2005–2019) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Drama School), introducing for the first time the teaching of lighting in the Greek university. She taught architectural lighting in the postgraduate programme of the Hellenic Open University (2012–2014).
