Bulgarian tenor, his first step on stage was at the age of four. A holder of multiple prizes in singing competitions, major factor in steering his career has been his decade-long musical growth in the Plovdiv Βoys Choir Stefka Blagoeva. Marin has been in the spotlight since 2000, when he won the Hit-1 competition, together with his sister Sonya Yoncheva. He also won the prize of Alliance française for Young Singer in 2004, in Plovdiv. A major leap to fame came with winning the first Bulgarian music reality TV show Star Academy in 2005. The next year he was awarded the first prize for a debut in BG Radio for his song-video One Sen- seless Day. He started his career in opera in 2011, when he sang in a recital with Sonya in the Antique Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Since then he has performed in concerts and galas worldwide. Among others, he has sung the roles of Parpi- gnol (La bohème, Opéra de Lausanne) and Itulbo (Il pirata, Bordeaux, France).
