Greek bass, he studied violin at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and voice at the National Conservatory, Athens, with John Modenos. He continued his studies at the Vienna Music Academy (Maria Callas scholarship, 1988). He has performed in major productions in Greece and internationally. For almost 20 years he has been a permanent member of the Greek National Opera, having performed leading roles in such operas as Don Pasquale, Der fliegende Holländer, Le nozze di Figaro, Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’elisir d’amore, Don Giovanni, La Cenerentola, Così fan tutte, Anna Bolena, La bohème, Andrea Chénier, Carmen, Le Comte Ory, Samson et Dalila, Werther, Fidelio, Die sieben Todsünden, Gianni Schicchi, Rusalka, Aida, Norma, Nabucco, Tosca, Die Zauberflöte, I vespri siciliani and Madama Butterfly.
