Dragonfly
The dragonfly is, according to scientists, the fastest insect on earth, able to fly at a speed of up to 97 kilometers per hour. The feet and claws in its mouth area make it an excellent hunter. The largest dragonfly family in the world is the Libellulidae, the Latin word libella meaning waterline, or watermark, among other things. Dragonflies have wings only for the last 3 to 4 weeks of their lives. They are not dangerous to humans, as they do not bite and have no stinger.
Their eyes are amazing. They are very big, and can see in 360 degrees. They can fly in all directions: forwards, backwards, up and down. They can also fly with their bodies touching the water! Their hunting abilities are remarkable. They manage to kill 95% of their targets, which ranks the dragonflies higher up the list of predators than the lion or the white shark.
Dragonflies love the water, so they tend to frequent the GNO canal.
