The reasons why the GNO is a destination of joy are many. Thousands of events for everyone and countless festive moments, in a place of convening, carefreeness, and recreation. Joy shared with visitors and the public during the holiday season, joy created in many moments throughout the year: from the various events for all ages and family festivals, to the endless games at the GNO Park and the Dancing Fountains in the Canal.

The GNO’s program presents a series of events and activities that have gained the love of the public; it proposes new musical cycles with emphasis on Greek creators and contemporary classical music; it invites both older and contemporary artists into the folds of its theatrical productions while passing the theatrical baton to the younger generation; it evokes the dialogue between art and public space; it adds a variety of music festivals to its annual traditions, and offers numerous opportunities for entertainment and learning without any barriers that would prevent the public from having access to culture. Admission to 99.4% of all events at GNO Park is free through support from the GNO Foundation (SNF).

The series of events for the GNO Christmas World occupies a prominent role in its annual programming. It has become an established holiday destination and is increasingly anticipated by visitors each year. Light installations, music, theater, the ice rink, Dancing Fountains, activities for the entire family, and workshops bring the GNO Christmas World to life and offer unforgettable moments to thousands of visitors every year.

Moreover, the GNO has something unique to present in every season: the Full Moon Sleepovers at the GNO Park, the summer concerts on the Great Lawn, outdoor interdisciplinary festivals such as Generations, In Orbit, Social Ballroom and great musical performances at the GNO Hall, the sounds of the Sunset DJ sets at the Lighthouse terrace, and outdoor Park Your Cinema screenings, the Playgrounds, the Water Jets, the Outdoor Games Area for everyday play and the Climbing Wall, and the gatherings on traditional Greek holidays, such as the Carnival and Clean Monday.

The GNO presents art in its public space every year, in collaboration with local and internationally renowned artists, as well as established cultural institutions and foundations. Starting with the art itself, the GNO presents a multifaceted artistic and educational program every year, encouraging reflection and personal interpretation of the stimuli offered by art. Whether through direct interaction or through a curated experience, contemporary art is introduced to the less initiated audience or presented within a new context to those more familiar with it.
